Arts industry leaders, experts and government ministers convened for the Art of Tax Reform Summit at the Sydney Opera House this week to discuss proposals to help support the arts sector. More than 300 written submissions were made to the summit with proposals including exempting arts prizes from taxable income and extending tax offsets for film productions. It forms part of the federal government's review into the National Cultural Policy, which will officially open for consultation next year.
