Born In Houston in 1939, Joe Sample started the piano early and show enormous gift for improvisation. It is in High School That Joe met Wilton Felder and Stix Hooper and formed a band called then "The Swingsters" That will become the Jazz Crusaders and evolved to the Crusaders in the 70's.
