The Old Fashioned is my go-to steakhouse cocktail - it was only a matter of time before I gave this a shot. In previous dry age experiments, the flavor of citrus zest penetrated deeply. Specifically on the tequila lime roast, the lime zest flavor was extremely apparent. I found that orange zest contained far more moisture than lime or lemon zest, which is possibly why the orange flavor was less intense. While still noticeable, it was subtle.
