Fraser River salmon migrate through the Discovery Islands – a cluster of islands off northeast Vancouver Island. Open-net pen salmon farms were removed from the area between 2020 and 2022. This spring, PSF’s Salmon Health team was in the field to monitor wild juvenile salmon that were migrating out to the ocean, working toward seeing how these fish are responding to the removal of Atlantic salmon farms over many years. | Pacific Salmon Foundation
