Did you know that conservation is a vital part of Rare Book School’s operations? As part of a teaching collection that gets regular active use, RBS materials can sometimes need a bit of TLC to keep them in one piece. This June, Trina Parks-Matthews was in residence at Rare Book School as our 2025 William Reese Fellow. Medieval Manuscript Dealer and Historian Sienna Wells recently joined us for a week of researching manuscripts and Rare Book study as part of a summer course hosted by the US based non-profit, Rare Book School. Under the careful tutelage of experts including Dr Peter Toth, Dr David Rundle and Bodley’s Librarian, Richard Ovenden, Rare Book School students were able to explore the Bodleian archives, visit college libraries - and even got to use the Bodleian Bibliographical Press. ...Dream week? |
