On September 7, 1986 the debut episode of WWF Wrestling Challenge aired from the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, Connecticut and was hosted by Gorilla Monsoon, “Big Cat” Ernie Ladd and “Luscious” Johnny Valiant. Wrestling Challenge was the replacement show for WWF All-Star Wrestling. The premiere episode also featured the debut of “The Snake Pit” with Jake “The Snake” Roberts and his guests, The Wizard and Kamala along with his masked "handler" Kim Chee (usually portrayed by Steve Lombardi).
